out-of-print for more than ten years this new edition has been fully digitally remastered with new tracks, additional photography and is released as a new edition of two super-loud super-heavy separate volumes of double vinyl (download code included).

one of las smartest young voices says the la times�which the artist suspects, may just be a covert way of saying la is dumb. �open� mike eagle wouldnt terribly mind, being born and raised in chicago where the painful winters and his uppity grandparents kept him inside as a youth. he spent his formative years watching alternative music happen on mtv and hoping to one day be able to audition for the native tongues. as a young adult after graduating with a degree in psychology, he did the next best thing and moved to los angeles, joining the project blowed collective where he made music and toured with busdriver, aceyalone, abstract, nocando, and more. he has also gained notoriety in the world of comedy by being invited by professional funny people (paul f. tompkins, hannibal buress, matt besser/ucb) to rap at their shows. he would like to be raps kurt vonnegut but recognizes that he would first have to create something as iconic as the four-stroke illustration of an anus. he practices by releasing rap albums that delight, entertain, and confuse.

argentinian dj and producer, ernesto ferreyra, provided cadenza with a rich and inspirational album back in 2010, the intricate and balanced el paraiso de las tortugas was a masterclass in minimal electronic dance. four years on, and ernesto returns to lucianos label with the insight single, and a precursor to another album for the label, slated for october release. voltage poem displays a huge progression for ernesto, a stomping, elastic backbeat, peppered with live percussion, shakers and micro glitches dances around the mechanical funk of the bassline.

las wax returns with a tight two-tracker of deep techno-house couresy of japans takayuki higo. this is definitely a departure from the typical wax sound, but this record still works nicely. a-side >big head house< has a dope minimal detroit feel to it and fits nicely with some of the recent techy output on wave. flip for >wicked tokyo< which is a blissfuldeep tech excursion for the late night sets. if you like francois ks techno side and jeff mills going deep, you will dig this newie.

adultnapper, real name francis harris, is a philosophy phd drop-out with punk rock roots. hailing from suburban las vegas, he has called brooklyn home for the past 9 years - a stretch in which he has gone from >hating dance music<, to establishing himself as an underground dj/producer with a unique sound and a global audience.
